Hi there!

I have always loved dancing since I was a child, taking ballet and movement classes throughout high school and having random dance competitions at home with my cousins. One day, in my high school movement class, we watched the movie Dirty Dancing and I was enthralled by the partner dancing that I saw in the movie. I went home that day and told my mom that I wanted to learn salsa. My mom and I both started taking ballroom dance lessons at a local studio and I fell in love with it.

I joined the competitive ballroom dance team in college and learned all four styles of ballroom dance: Latin, standard, rhythm and smooth. My competitive career is currently focused on Latin and Rhythm but I enjoy the other styles, including social dances such as hustle, west coast swing, salsa and bachata.

I enjoy teaching students of all experience levels and I love to say that I specialize in teaching people with two left feet ;) ! My abundance of patience and ability to explain things in many different ways makes it really fun for me to teach beginners, even those who are hesitant to try ballroom dancing in the first place
